I heART You: Ties to Artwork and the Soul

Art has a way of reaching places in us that words cannot. I’ve watched people stand in my gallery, eyes welling up, because a painting stirred a memory or a feeling they couldn’t quite explain. That’s the soul to soul connection that makes art so powerful. As a gallery owner, I’ve learned that my role is often part curator, part matchmaker pairing people with the pieces that feel like they were made just for them. Some connections happen instantly, others grow over time as the artwork becomes part of someone’s daily life. I believe we’re all drawn to certain shapes, colors, and energies because they mirror something within us. This is why the same piece can mean something entirely different to two people. Art gives us permission to feel without having to explain ourselves. It also reminds us that beauty and meaning are subjective what moves me might leave you unmoved, and that’s the magic of it. Over the years, I’ve come to see my gallery as a place where these invisible threads are woven. When a client says, “I can’t stop thinking about that piece,” I know the soul has spoken. In that moment, the transaction is more than a sale it’s the beginning of a relationship between person and art.
