Amy Shekhter is an emerging American contemporary artist inspired by iconic figures and fashion. She creatively blends digital design with layered textures like resin, glitter, paint, and crystals to put a modern twist on familiar imagery. Amy’s pop art introduces younger generations to cultural icons while reflecting on materialism and societal values.
Originally from Alaska, Amy moved to Florida in 2002 to pursue a degree in education and earned a Master of Education in Art Education. She taught art in schools and museums before shifting full-time to creating art.
Her work, often centered around influential women, combines vibrant branding with bold color to contrast community values she’s observed across the U.S. Her art is a reflection of cultural differences and contemporary perspectives.
